If you have a lot of programs and games installed, but you want to move them to another partition or hard disk, because the original one got full, you may be in front of a real problem, as moving program folders just like that can make the applications stop working. That's because the Windows operating system stores various information regarding programs in the system registry, so if its folders are moved, the registry keys will not be correct anymore, causing the application to stop working. Fortunately, there is a solution to this common problem and that's the SymMover application.

This Windows program allows you to move folders from a partition to another, while making Windows Explorer think that the folder is still in its original location. This is achieved just by creating a virtual link between the original and the new location. In this way, any program or game will work perfectly, when moved to a new location, on another partition or even on another hard disk.

After installing and launching the program, the user will just need to select the desired folders that should be moved to a new location. SymMover is able to detect installed applications and can automatically find their installation folders. After selecting the desired folder or application to be moved, the next thing to do is to select the destination path. This can be located either on another partition, hard disk or even USB memory stick.

After the folders are moved, the user will be able to use them in the same normal way and all his moved applications will work just as fine as they were in their original location.
